Our Mission

"To improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by developmental disabilities

including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, and

related conditions — in the State of Georgia and globally abroad."

Six Pillars of Service

Educational Support

Learning that meets every person where they are

ADD, Inc. provides individualized educational resources tailored to each person's learning style and

developmental needs — for children, adults, and the families and professionals who support them.

Our educational programming includes tutoring, life skills instruction, adaptive technology training,

caregiver education seminars, and support for direct care professionals entering the I/DD field. We

believe that when individuals with developmental disabilities are wholly supported, they live with

greater independence, confidence, and dignity — and the families around them are stronger and

better prepared.

Therapeutic Recreation

Building confidence, connection, and joy through purposeful activity

Therapeutic recreation is not a supplemental service at ADD, Inc. — it is a core pathway to

well-being. Our programs include adaptive sports, creative arts, social skills groups, and community

outings designed for participants of all abilities and ages. We focus on joy, belonging, and

meaningful participation — not just therapeutic outcomes. For individuals with I/DD, recreational

programs build social confidence, reduce isolation, and create the kinds of peer relationships that

enrich every other area of life.

Community Integration

Full participation is a right, not a program

ADD, Inc. works to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities can live, participate, and

belong fully in Georgia's communities — not in parallel to them. Community integration means

meaningful civic participation, peer networking, removal of access barriers, partnerships with local

businesses and civic organizations, and active advocacy for the least restrictive living settings

possible. When people with I/DD are fully included, communities become richer, more

compassionate, and more equitable for everyone.

Supported Work Placement

Employment transforms lives - for the person and for the employer

ADD, Inc. connects adults with I/DD to meaningful, sustainable employment through partnerships

with local employers, job coaching, on-site support, and workplace readiness training. We support

both the employee and the employer throughout the placement — because successful employment

requires preparation on both sides. We also train individuals entering the workforce as direct support

professionals, caregivers, and clinical staff, building the pipeline of skilled, compassionate workers

that Georgia's I/DD community depends on.

Legislative Advocacy

Individual services change one life. Better policy changes thousands

ADD, Inc. advocates at the local, state, federal, and international levels for policies that protect,

expand, and strengthen services for people with developmental disabilities and their families. Our

advocacy work includes educating legislators, supporting and opposing bills that affect the I/DD

community, collaborating with disability advocacy coalitions, and equipping families with the tools

and confidence to advocate for themselves. We are building a statewide family advocacy coalition —

in partnership with GCDD — to ensure that Georgia's I/DD families have a coordinated, sustained

voice in the systems and policies that govern their lives.

Healthcare and Therapy Services

Health is the foundation of everything else

ADD, Inc. facilitates and coordinates access to behavioral therapy, occupational therapy,

speech-language therapy, physical therapy, and dental health services for individuals with I/DD. We

are building a dental apprenticeship program to expand oral health access for I/DD patients, seniors,

and veterans — training the providers Georgia needs and placing them in the communities that need

them most. When individuals with I/DD receive consistent, competent, compassionate clinical care,

every other area of their lives becomes possible.
